The artwork “Inspiration” was developed as I traveled along the north shore in Grand Marais, MN during winter. I saw a beautiful sun setting over a peaceful lake superior covered by a thin sheet of ice reflecting the suns light onto the ice covered rocks. During this breathtaking moment I found myself feeling a deeper connection to the surroundings and warmth emanating upon me despite the cold. I later brought this feeling to life through capturing the sunset and transforming it to the point in which an angel appeared emanating a sense of warmth.
